We switched from the Ascasa Dream PID to the Bellona. We are extremely pleased with the Bellona and highly recommend it.
Our background is that we have a lovely machine in our Melbourne Australia home (Melbourne is known for good coffee) and wanted a machine for our Canadian home.
The Bellona is a great price point and delivers a perfect cup of coffee. Having a double boiler lets you select (and program in) different temperatures for coffee and milk. Plus, as the coffee shot is timed by the machine, you can simultaneously steam your milk.
The portafilter is of high quality and easy to attach. The wand for steaming milk is long, easy to use, and we love the handle for turning on the steam. We like the water being outside of the machine as it makes it very easy to fill and to see when you need to fill.
Do consider the height of your counter as the machine is tall given the position of the steam wand.

This is a perfect companion for making your coffee... be it with an espresso machine or a drip coffee machine. Key are the features for selecting the grind type and timing of the grind. These features really take the guesswork out of the equation for making a good cup of coffee .. especially as we all have different opinions on what is that perfect cup.
Very uniform grounds and functions exactly how I want a single dose grinder to. Material choices are impeccable. Easy to clean and understand.
These are a great drink for those of us who don’t drink coffee or tea. Add a little milk and you have a warm and soothing beverage.
Was very impressed with the quality, ease-of-use and performance of the MHW-3Bomber WDT tool….it distributes the coffee evenly and removes any clumping. Great to help keep consistency in dosing/performance.
