Eureka Atom Bean Grinders

Time will tell if this thing holds up but I'm impressed thus far. It's quieter and quicker than my previous grinder, the fellow opus, which died after 3 years of daily use.

The DF54 is a substantial machine with serious heft, and appears to have a solid build. I've tested a variety of beans, from light to dark roasts, and it's produced really great tasting espressos. So far, so good.

Love the grind by weight design. Well built. Incredibly quiet! The menu is easy to navigate and the touch screen is intuitive. Grind by weight seems precise enough with marginal difference when compared to a scale.

Couple minor annoyances:
1. The W65 Casa logo on front panel is tilted a bit
2. Dosing splashes coffee grounds all over and there is no catch tray to catch all the grounds.
3. No auto off function for power savings (but can be plugged into a smart plug to manage on/off)

Still will give this a 5 star review because the design is far superior than other knockoffs similar to it. Most of the other guys products make a crater in the center where this does distribute the grounds evenly. The needles dont get to the bottom of the portafilter but i havent noticed any channeling problems yet and I crank out a lot of coffee from my cart. Do know that a 53mm portafilter generally wont fit bc the lip is too wide for this product to sit perfectly. that being said it still rests enough on the top for 3 good cranks before it starts getting grounds on the rim. knock it against the table one time and they fall in so its a bit inconvenient if your grinds are very fluffy and dont fit in the bucket but for me its just enough to be ok and worth the price tag.
