The Elektra Microcasa Semiautomatica is a hand-finished Italian column machine with a heat-exchange boiler behind the brass and chrome: brew and steam at the same time from a machine that looks like it belongs in a Milanese bar from another century.
What you get
- Heat-exchange boiler: brew water is drawn fresh through an exchanger in the steam boiler, so espresso and milk steaming run simultaneously. That is the practical difference between this and most classically styled machines.
- Semi-automatic operation: a simple switch starts and stops the shot; the barista controls the yield.
- Commercial-style steam wand: real steam pressure for properly textured milk, not the whisper of a thermoblock.
- Hand-finished Italian build: polished chrome or copper and brass over a serviceable, rebuildable mechanical design that Elektra has refined for decades.
- The eagle-topped column silhouette: the reason people buy an Elektra. It is a working machine and a centrepiece at once.
Semiautomatica or Leva
The Semiautomatica is the practical daily driver of the two: switch operation and HX steaming. The Microcasa Leva swaps the pump path for a spring-lever piston, a slower, more ritual way to pull a shot. Same family, different relationship with the machine.
Best suited to
Home baristas who want daily espresso and steamed milk from a machine that is also the most beautiful object in the kitchen.
Available in Chrome or Copper & Brass. 110V. A water softening device is strongly recommended: scale damage is not covered under warranty.
