The Appia Life Compact Volumetric with Smart Wand adds automated milk texturing to the 110V two-group Compact. The Smart Wand reads milk temperature at the wand and shuts the steam off at the target, so foam quality stops depending on who is holding the pitcher.

What you get

• Smart Wand automatic milk texturing: a temperature-sensing steam wand that cuts steam at the programmed milk temperature. The consistency gain is largest with rotating or lightly trained staff.
• 110V operation: commercial two-group service from a standard North American circuit, for sites without 220V.
• Programmable volumetric dosing: flow-metered dose buttons per group for repeatable yields.
• 7.5 L heat-exchange boiler: simultaneous brew and steam; recovery is slower on 110V than the 220V compact, which is the trade-off of this configuration.
• Soft Infusion System (SIS): progressive pre-infusion that evens out prep errors.

This is the top 110V configuration in the family. If your site has 220V, a standard Compact Volumetric plus the EasyCream factory option covers similar ground with faster recovery.
