Nuova Simonelli Appia Life - 2 Group - Semi-Automatic Commercial Espresso Machine (Black)

The Appia Life Full-Size 2 Group Semi-Automatic is the manual-dosing version of the most widely installed commercial platform Nuova Simonelli makes. Two full-spacing groups, an 11 L boiler, and start-stop buttons with nothing programmed in between.

What you get

• 11 L heat-exchange boiler: full commercial steam and brew capacity with recovery to hold a two-group bar through a rush.
• Semi-automatic dosing: the barista starts and stops every shot. The right architecture for bars that cut shots by scale and want no electronics in the shot path.
• Soft Infusion System (SIS): progressive pre-infusion built into the group, evening out tamping and distribution errors before full pressure.
• Full-size group spacing: room to work two portafilters and two pitchers without collisions, unlike the Compact.
• Push-pull steam levers with ergonomic wands: fast one-hand steam control.

Choosing within the Appia Life range

Semi-Automatic is the simplest and cheapest full-size configuration. The Volumetric adds programmable doses for consistency across staff, and the XT adds a display interface with programmable parameters on top of that. The Compact versions trade working room for counter width.

Best suited to

Restaurants and bars with a trained barista on the machine, and specialty operations that dose and cut every shot by weight.
