PUQpress Q2 Stand-Alone Precision Automatic Tamper 58.3mm Gen-5

The PUQpress Q2 Gen 5 removes tamping as a variable. Drop the portafilter into the cradle and it delivers a perfectly level tamp at the same programmed pressure, every shot, in about a second and a half. Channelling from uneven or inconsistent tamping simply stops.

What you get

• Adjustable 10 to 30 kg tamping pressure: set the force once and every tamp lands identically. Consistency across baristas is the entire product.
• Perfectly level tamp: the press is square to the basket by design, eliminating the tilted tamps that cause side channelling.
• 58.3 mm precision base: fits standard 58 mm portafilter baskets with the tight tolerance a hand tamper cannot hold.
• Roughly 1.3 second cycle: faster than hand tamping, and it frees the barista's hands for the next drink while it works.
• Gen 5 platform: the current generation's updated clamp and drive over earlier Q2s.

Where it fits

The Q2 is the stand-alone counter unit: it sits anywhere on the bar. The M-series versions integrate under specific grinders instead. If you are pairing with a Mythos, look at the M-series; for every other setup the Q2 is the flexible choice.

Any bar with more than one person tamping, wrist-strain reduction for high-volume baristas, and home setups chasing the last source of shot inconsistency.
